Amman↔Berlin – 142 Minutes is a collaborative sound project co-curated with Tanja Krone, exploring the sonic distance between two cities. The title refers to the time it takes for sound to travel back and forth between Amman and Berlin: 2 hours and 22 minutes, or 142 minutes.

Six artists from Jordan and Germany exchanged raw soundscapes from their everyday environments, each working with and responding to the other’s recordings. Every 142 minutes, new versions of the tracks were exchanged—creating an evolving, layered dialogue shaped by absence, presence, and place.

Developed during the pandemic, the project reflects on isolation, connection, and the invisible threads between geographies. All compositions were created remotely, recorded from homes and studios across Amman and Berlin.
